So after confirmation from the GP, we both informed our parents respectively. Both of our parents were very happy!! Shortly, my mummy dearest called me, informing me that my granny said I shouldn't be shifting my bed; the second thing mummy dearest wanted me to stop doing is wearing my 4" heels ( This is kind of difficult as I am always in heels and to ditch it was very very difficult...but for the sake of my baby, I am willing to do it). I heeded the old folks' advices through out my pregnancy. Call me pantang or what, but I cannot be bothered as I am doing my best to protect my baby. I constantly have to remind myself to be mindful of my food intake as it might not be nutritious for baby.I made my first gynae appointment and I wanted to make sure that the embryo is in my womb as I have a friend, when she did the ultrasound, the gynae could not detect the embryo in her womb and suspect that it still in the fallopian tube and ask her to go back for review in a week time...The waiting kills! As it so damn worrying to wonder have the embryo move to the womb anot??
Had my first ultrasound on 23rd June 2011. The embryo measured at 28.60mm.
Ultrasound on 7th July 2011
Ultrasound on 23rd July 2011, can see the changing stages!! Mad exciting for me!
This is the Oscar ultrasound done on 8th August 2011.
OSCAR stands for One-stop Clinic for Assessment of Risk for Fetal Anomalies,
which is a first trimester option offered to all pregnant women as an
earlier and more accurate method of screening for risk of fetal
anomalies, in particular Down Syndrome (Trisomy 21). You might want to click on the above link to find out more about the test. My gynae was based at Thomson Medical Centre (TMC), henceforth most of the tests that I am required to go through were done at TMC.
Ultrasound on 20th August 2011. The fetus measuring at 14cm.
For to be mummies, if you are delivering at TMC, you can choose to sign up for the First born Incentive where you are entitle to some discount for those tests done at TMC. You can find out more about it at the website. Shall stop here and continue soon as my big boss is here this week for meeting...Haiz! |
